Matte White Heavy Texture
Description
Matte White Heavy Texture splits the difference between glossy and matte, resulting in a more subtle appearance. Our formula blends marble dust and pure Tio2 pigment to reduce glare while providing thick, smooth coverage. We recently made our Matte finish for Heavy Texture even thicker, smoother, and stronger.
Venturing beyond traditional matte, this experimental formula offers a uniquely soft, sophisticated look. It stands out by absorbing more light and reducing glare compared to our glossy options. Despite being durable and versatile, it's slightly delicate once dry, so handle with care to avoid damage.
Our Matte White is crafted to seamlessly blend with all gaffrey paints. Making it a great option for using palette knife impasto techniques and for creating sculptural pieces. Your input is highly appreciated as we strive to improve our formulas for a better experience in your daily art endeavors.

4 easy steps to pipe heavy texture
1. Snip It
Cut a small piece off the bag, about 3/4 of an inch. Cut further as needed to increase flow of paint.
2. Twist it
Use dominant hand to twist the top until bag feels firm. Apply steady pressure to force air pockets outs.
3. Squeeze it
Guide the nozzle with one hand, applying pressure with the other to control paint thickness and shape.
4. Clip It
Flatten the open end and clip it for short-term storage. For long-term, transfer to airtight container.
sculpt with paint
Achieve multicolored compositions up to six inches instantly, with lasting color fidelity and durability.
Mix Paints, not mediums
Effortlessly mix Heavy Texture with Acrylic Colors, avoiding the need for costly thickening mediums that can lead to cracking, discoloration, or drooping.
Cost effective
Our in-house manufacturing cuts out the middleman, allowing emerging artists to experiment freely without the high costs.
FAQ
How long does it take to dry?
Drying time varies based on humidity, temperature, and paint thickness. Takes about 60-90 minutes to dry to the touch and at least 5-7 days to fully dry. Use fans to speed up drying.
Can I use Heavy Texture on canvas or other surfaces?
Utilize wood panels when working with Heavy Texture for optimal paint structure; the bounciness of canvas can be a hindrance with large volumes of paint.
Test drying process of Heavy Texture on small samples of intended surface to determine compatibility.
Can I mix Heavy Texture with regular acrylics?
Our 'regular' acrylic paints, Acrylic Colors collection, are made to be mixed with Heavy Texture. While Heavy Texture is mostly compatible with other acrylic brands, results may vary. Conduct a small mixing test to check compatibility and consider using gaffrey paints for best results.
Do I need a gesso to prime my surface before using Heavy Texture?
Choose our Base Coats over gesso for artist-quality paint infused with marble dust for better adhesion. Only need 1-2 coats to prime you panel.
